Being Trauma-informed and Trauma-sensitive in Practice

  • Rooms Worthing, England, BN11 1LZ United Kingdom (map)

Join Changing Futures Sussex and Justlife for a unique day of Trauma-informed learning!

This July, we’re uniting with Changing Futures Sussex to share valuable Trauma-informed best practice with frontline workers.

Training and wellbeing, together.

Being Trauma-informed and Trauma-sensitive in Practice seeks to explore where the personal and the professional meet. Choice, collaboration, safety, trust and empowerment – we know why they're important, and we want to champion understanding, so everyone can lead fulfilling lives.

Changing Futures Sussex and Justlife are uniting to share frontline workers’ valuable Trauma-informed best practice. Join us at Rooms in Worthing for a workshop with a difference, to hear from key figures from Changing Futures Sussex and Turning Tides.

The four-hour session on Tuesday 16th July will cover common definitions of trauma – what do we mean by Trauma-informed Practice, and how can we transform a blame mindset into an empathetic approach?

We’ll explore Trauma-informed principles and share practical applications, both in a wider discussion and in breakout groups. Expect discussion prompts, pastries and valuable networking opportunities among West Sussex workers, as we strive to define a healthy and rewarding balance between training and wellbeing.

Book a spot on this free event – and invite your community – today.

Exploring Trauma-informed Practice on a micro and a macro scale, we’ll equip attendees with applicable tools and tricks to establish, and effectively hold, a Psychologically-informed Environment for colleagues and clients alike.

Expect fresh pastries, fruit, refreshments, engaging conversation, and learning in this beautiful space...
